WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) voted to eliminate the employer mandate and the individual health insurance mandate of the President’s health care law in two Senate Appropriations bills.

I support a full Obamacare repeal and continue to fight against the onerous rules and regulations imposed by the law. It’s bad for businesses, drives up the cost of our health care and is forcing Arkansans to lose their insurance. We’re exploring opportunities to stop this massive train wreck and chisel away at this law before more damage is done,” Boozman said.

Boozman supported an amendment in the Senate Appropriations markup of the Financial Services and General Government bill that would prohibit the IRS from enforcing Obamacare’s individual mandate and the employer mandate.

During the Senate Appropriations markup of the Labor, Health and Human Services bill, Boozman voted to delay the employer mandate and the individual mandate in Obamacare.

As a member of the House of Representatives, Boozman opposed Obamacare and continues to be a voice of opposition to the President’s health care law.
