WASHINGTON – Students in five Arkansas schools will have additional computers to use as a result of Senator John Boozman’s participation in the U.S. Senate’s Computers for Schools program.

The program helps public schools stay connected in the digital age by donating computers no longer used in the Senate to classrooms across the country.

“Providing Arkansas schools with the resources students rely on to advance their education and improve their success in a global economy is important to preparing our students for the future. Sharing surplus computers is a great way to help Arkansas students develop their computer skills and connect them to technology,” Boozman said.

The following schools are each recipients of five HP 7900 Small Form Factor computers, including flat panel monitors, mice and keyboards:

Deer High School – Hwy 16 in Deer, Arkansas
Strong High School – 635 South Concord in Strong, Arkansas
Scranton High School – 103 North 10th Street in Scranton, Arkansas
Hillcrest High School – 146 South Main Street in Strawberry, Arkansas
Dermott Elementary School – 525 East Speedway Street in Dermott, Arkansas
