WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR), chairman of the Federal Services and General Government Appropriations Subcommittee, joined Fox Business’ Neil Cavuto following the subcommittee hearing on the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) data breach that compromised personal information of millions of Americans.

Boozman told Cavuto that the government is doing a “sloppy, shoddy job” of protecting data.

During the hearing, the subcommittee heard testimony from officials, including, the Director of OPM Katherine Archuleta, about the extent of the breach, what is being done to help those affected and how the government is preparing to protect against the next hack.

"The American people have lost faith in their institutions. The last thing they will do is trust Washington to solve a problem when it can't even protect the personal information of those it employs. There needs to be a dramatic change in the status quo,” Boozman said in his opening statement at the hearing.
