Presidential Inauguration Information
Arkansans interested in visiting Washington, D.C. to participate in the 2024 Inauguration should visit the various official websites provided below for details on how to take part in this historic occasion. As we near the 60th Presidential Inauguration on January 20, 2025, these will be your sources for updates concerning the inaugural.
The following information on the inaugural events has been released. Please note that complete details for these events will not be available until after the November general election.
The Presidential Swearing-In Ceremony
The Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC) is responsible for the planning and execution of the swearing-in, for which Members of Congress will be provided a small allotment of tickets for the Capitol grounds. Most of these are standing tickets. Please note that Arkansans may request tickets of my office by completing the form on my website below. However, the JCCIC is not responsible for the parade and the balls, and Members of Congress are not given tickets to distribute for either of those events.

Crowds also gather on the National Mall to watch the swearing-in ceremony on Jumbotrons. No tickets are required to participate in these festivities on the Mall. However, these generate large crowds and the public must still go through security screening.
The Presidential Inaugural Parade
The Presidential Inaugural Parade is coordinated by the Armed Forces Inaugural Committee (AFIC), which includes members from all branches of the armed forces. The majority of the parade route is free and open to the public. No tickets are required. Viewing spots on the parade route are available on a first come, first serve basis.

However, this information will not be available until after the President-elect established their Inaugural Committee in November. Details will be announced as the information is made available, but the official inaugural balls are usually by invitation only and tickets must be purchased.
Additionally, many unofficial balls are sponsored by local and national organizations and are open to the public, but advance tickets are usually required for the unofficial balls and pricing varies.
