WASHINGTON –U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) released the following statement after the Senate passed The Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act:

The Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act can replicate the successes of the landmark Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000. That law made the United States has been a leader in the international community’s fight to end modern day slavery. The bill we passed today can build on those successes in combating international trafficking by helping us take on the traffickers here at home.

The Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act can save lives. It can restore dignity to the victims of these heinous crimes. And it can help end modern day slavery. I am pleased that it finally passed the Senate in an overwhelming bipartisan fashion."
