WASHINGTON—U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) joined a bipartisan resolution led by Senators Joni Ernst (R-IA) and John Fetterman (D-PA) condemning the October 7, 2023, terrorist attacks perpetrated by Hamas that killed and maimed thousands of innocent Israelis and dozens of Americans.
The resolution reaffirms the unwavering U.S. support for Israel and demands the safe release of all hostages, including Americans Omer Neutra and Itay Chen. Further, the measure denounces the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war, opposes the rise in antisemitic protests and supports an outcome to the conflict that ensures the future survival of Israel and denies Hamas’ ability to reconstitute any leadership role in the Middle East.
“The October 7th attack on Israel was a barbaric act that underscored Hamas’s commitment to terror and the destruction of the Jewish State,” Boozman said. “As we remember the victims and their loved ones, America stands firmly with our greatest friend in the Middle East and supports Israel’s unequivocal right to defend itself and protect its people. I remain committed to strengthening bipartisan efforts to ensure Israel has the resources necessary to safeguard its citizens and promote lasting peace in the region.”
