WASHINGTON, D.C. –U.S Senator John Boozman applauded efforts of interns working in his Washington D.C. office for service to the people of Arkansas. 

“Our interns have been a great help to the people of Arkansas during their time in Washington. I appreciate their dedication and their commitment to working with the staff to address issues concerning Arkansans. They have taken advantage of the opportunities in Washington and learned about legislative process and how we serve the people of our state,” Boozman said. 

Jared Carlin, Luke DeYoung, Harris DuBose, McKinley Duke, Houston Garner, Jimmy Harris, Annie Humphrey, Emily Jacobson, Rosalind Jenkins, Kaci Sturgeon, Chelsea Taff, and Will Tennille have spent five weeks helping to answer phones, researching legislative issues and giving Arkansans tours of the U.S Capitol. 

Jared Carlin is a 2010 graduate of Lubbock Coronado High School in Lubbock, Texas. He is a senior at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia where he is pursuing a degree in Accounting. 

Luke DeYoung is a 2011 graduate of Siloam Springs High School. He is a junior at John Brown University, where he is pursuing a degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Physics. 

Harris Dubose is a 2008 graduate of Little Rock Christian Academy. He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He holds a degree in Small Business and Entrepreneurship with a minor in Retail. 

McKinley Duke is a 2010 graduate of Lee’s Summit High School in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. He is a senior at Harding University in Searcy, where he is pursuing a degree in Public Administration with a Religion minor. 

Houston Garner is a 2011 graduate of Bryant High School. He is a senior at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He is pursuing a degree in Political Science with a Legal Studies minor. 

Jimmy Harris is a 2009 graduate of Springdale Har-Ber High School. He is a senior at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where he is pursuing a degree in Political Science, with a minor in Environmental Soil and Water Science. 

Annie Humphrey is a 2011 graduate of Blue Valley High School in Stilwell, Kansas. She is a junior at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She is pursuing a degree in Social Work with a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences. 

Chelsea Taff is a graduate of Berryville High School. She is a senior at William Jewel College in Liberty, Missouri. She is pursuing degrees in International Relations and Nonprofit Leadership. 

Emily Jacobson is a 2011 graduate of Russellville High School. She is a junior at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She is pursuing a degree in History with minors in Biology and Spanish. 

Rosalind Jenkins is a 2009 graduate of Chatham Hall College Preparatory School in Chatham-Blairs, Virginia. She is a senior at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa where she is pursuing a degree in Advertising with minors in Photography and Sociology. 

Kaci Sturgeon is a 2010 graduate of Booneville High School. She is a senior at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where she is pursuing degrees in Criminal Justice and Sociology. 

Will Tennille is entering his senior year of high school at Woodberry Forest School in Woodberry Forest, Virginia.
