WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Mark Pryor and John Boozman, along with Congressman Rick Crawford (AR-1) today announced that the City of Jonesboro will receive a $135,000 grant from the Economic Development Administration to extend a city sewer line along Dalton Farmer Drive and near U.S. Highway 63. The project will help strengthen and attract businesses and create 20 new jobs.

“Investing in our infrastructure is a proven way we can grow our economy and attract new businesses to our state,” said Pryor. “The City of Jonesboro has once again demonstrated that private and public collaboration is a winning combination for job creation and economic development.”

“We need to provide the necessary resources that will pave the way for economic development and job creation,” Boozman said. “This investment shows our commitment to job growth and economic opportunity.”

“This grant is a smart investment that will help bring new jobs to Arkansas’ First District. As we continue to look for ways to shrink the debt while simultaneously growing our economy, the City of Jonesboro has demonstrated an excellent formula to emulate,” said Crawford.
