WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) released the following statement after supporting the Highway Trust Fund fix to allow continued infrastructure improvements: 

“Maintaining a safe, secure and reliable infrastructure is important to job creation and economic growth. This short-term fix to continue funding the Highway Trust Fund is important to our commitment to Arkansas and other states that rely on this money to improve roads and bridges. Failing to act is not an option. A long-term solution is ideal and remains a priority for me. This allows us more time to find a reasonable answer that enables us to contribute to transportation infrastructure projects in a fiscally responsible manner.”
