Senator John Boozman is touring clinics that are helping fight opioid addiction in Arkansas.

Last year, the Federal Government gave nearly three million dollars to Arkansas clinics battling the crisis.

Boozman, who pushed for the funding, visited one of the clinics yesterday. He says the money will be used for treatment, recovery and prevention.

Boozman also says the funding is only a step in the right direction to ending the opioid problem and more money will be needed to continue research and prevention.
