WASHINGTON- U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) recognized the efforts of dedicated college students who served the state of Arkansas as interns in his Washington office this summer. 

“These interns have been a great help to the people of Arkansas during their time in Washington. I appreciate their dedication and their commitment to working with the staff to address issues concerning our state. They have taken advantage of the unique opportunities available in the nation’s capital while learning about the legislative process and how my team serves the people of the Natural State,” Boozman said.

Reed Adams, Cole Evans, Macie Kelly, Kate Lilly, Jessica Long, Arianna Kiaei, Drew Nesmith, Bradley Plunkett, Bailey Riggs, Hope Ritchey and Drew Roberson completed a five-week internship in Boozman’s Washington office. Their duties included constituent relations, administrative assistance and legislative research. Interns were also given the opportunity to meet distinguished speakers and tour the Capitol, White House and Pentagon. 

Reed Adams is from Fayetteville, Arkansas where he graduated from Fayetteville High School in 2016. He is a rising senior at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where he studies finance and marketing in information systems.  

Cole Evans is from Rogers, Arkansas. He graduated from Rogers High School in 2016. He is as student at Pittsburg State Univerisity studying criminal justice. After graduation he plans to join the Air Force. 

Macie Kelly is from Mountain Home, Arkansas. In 2016 she graduated from Mountain Home High School. She is currently studying agricultural education, communications, technology and agricultural leadership at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.  

Kate Lilly is from Fort Smith, Arkansas. She graduated from Southside High School in 2016. She is a rising senior at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where she is studying political science and legal studies.  

Jessica Long is from Frisco, Texas. She graduated from Frisco Liberty High School in 2016. She is a rising senior at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where she is studying criminal justice.  

Arianna Kiaei is from Little Rock, Arkansas. She graduated from Episcopal Collegiate School in 2016. She is currently a rising senior at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where she is studying international business and economics.  

Drew Nesmith is from Little Rock, Arkansas. He graduated from Catholic High School in 2016. He is a student at the University of Mississippi in Oxford studying political science and history. 

Bradley Plunkett is from Bryant, Arkansas where he graduated from Bryant High School in 2015. He is a 2019 graduate of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville with a bachelor’s degree in communication.  

Bailey Riggs is from Bergman, Arkansas where he graduated from Bergman High School in 2016. He is a rising senior at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville studying agricultural business and political science. 

Hope Ritchey is from Little Rock, Arkansas. She graduated from Mount St. Mary Academy in 2016. She is a rising senior at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where she is studying English and Spanish.  

Drew Roberson is from Jonesboro, Arkansas. He graduated from Valley View High School in 2016. He is a rising senior at Arkansas State University where he is studying political science and Spanish.
