WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) traveled to Germany, Poland and Finland last week to discuss the ongoing situation in Ukraine, the transatlantic partnership and Finland’s accession to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

“Discussing our shared security interests with German, Polish and Finnish leaders after Russia’s unlawful invasion of Ukraine was beneficial. The U.S. will continue to further develop and strengthen our partnerships and alliances as long as bad actors around the world continue to threaten peace and global stability. Supporting Finland’s request to join NATO was a critical step in expanding our capabilities to defend the region,” Boozman said.

Boozman, ranking member of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee responsible for military construction, also visited with American troops stationed in Poland to thank them for their work and discuss any additional assistance they need to successfully carry out their mission supporting our allies and U.S. national security.

Boozman visited the 33rd Airbase in Powidz, Poland and talked with soldiers with the 1st Armor Division Combat Aviation Brigade currently deployed from Ft. Bliss, Texas.
