WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Boozman applauded efforts of interns working in his Washington D.C. office for service to the people of Arkansas.
“Our interns have been a great help to the people of Arkansas during their time in Washington. I appreciate their dedication and their commitment to working with the staff to address issues concerning Arkansans. They have taken advantage of the opportunities in Washington and learned about the legislative process and how we serve the people of our state,” Boozman said.
Joe Barazotto, Jordan Broyles, Rebecca Caldwell, Anna Paige Frein, Shelby Gragg, William Hansen, Trey McKenzie, Kris Moore, Laurel Pelton, Bobby Pennington, Zack Sellers and Meredith Wilson have spent the past five weeks helping answer phones, researching legislative issues and giving Arkansans tours of the U.S. Capitol.
Joe Barrazotto is a 2009 graduate of Gilman School in Baltimore, Maryland. He is a junior at the University of Virginia where he is pursuing degrees in Spanish and foreign affairs.
Jordan Broyles is a 2008 graduate of Fayetteville High School. She is a senior at the University of Missouri where she is pursing a degree in journalism.
Rebecca Caldwell is a 2007 graduate of Mount St. Mary Academy. She is a recent graduate of the University of Arkansas where she majored in international relations and political science.
Anna Paige Frein is a 2009 graduate of Brinkley High School. She is a junior at the University of Arkansas where she is majoring in social work.
Shelby Gragg is a 2007 graduate of Prairie Grove High School. He is a recent graduate of the University of Arkansas where he majored in economics.
William Hansen is a 2009 graduate of Fayetteville High School. He is a junior at the University of Arkansas where he is majoring in History and Animal Science.
Trey McKenzie is a 2007 graduate of Rogers High School. He is a recent graduate of Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri where he earned a degree in environmental science.
Kris Moore is a 2001 graduate of Van Buren High School and a recent graduate of the University of Arkansas Fort Smith where he earned a degree in organizational leadership.
Laurel Pelton is a 2006 graduate of Pine Bluff High School. She is a senior at the University of Arkansas where she is majoring in broadcast journalism.
Bobby Pennington is a 2008 graduate of Rogers High School. He is a junior at the University of Arkansas where he is studying economics.
Zach Sellers is a 2008 graduate of Dover High School. He is a senior at Arkansas Tech University where he is pursing a degree in history and political science.
Meredith Wilson is a 2008 graduate of Southside High School in Fort Smith. She is a senior at the University of Arkansas where she is studying human development, family science and rural sociology.
