WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR), a member of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, supported the confirmation of Governor Sonny Perdue to serve as Secretary of the United States Department of Agriculture. The committee favorably reported the nomination to the full Senate.
“Governor Sonny Perdue is uniquely qualified to lead the United States Department of Agriculture. He understands the importance of the agriculture industry to our economy and the challenges our farmers, ranchers and rural communities face. I am confident that he will be a champion for American agriculture and promote opportunities to open new markets for American products. I look forward to working with him to address the needs of our agriculture community,” Boozman said.
