WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) took the oath of office to begin his second term representing Arkansas in the United States Senate.

“I am incredibly grateful for the trust Arkansans have placed in me to continue representing our great state in Washington. I am pleased to continue fighting for commonsense solutions that make Washington work for Arkansas families and businesses,” Boozman said.

Boozman is the first Republican Senator in Arkansas history to serve a second term. His wife Cathy, three daughters and two granddaughters joined him for this historic occasion. Boozman took the oath of office on a New Testament Bible carried by his father during WWII.

In the 115th Congress, Boozman will serve on the Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry; Committee on Appropriations; Committee on the Budget; Committee on Environment and Public Works; and the Committee on Veterans’ Affairs.
