WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Boozman applauded efforts of interns working in his Washington D.C. office for service to the people of Arkansas. 

“Our interns have been a great help to the people of Arkansas during their time in Washington. I appreciate their dedication and their commitment to working with the staff to address issues concerning Arkansans. They have taken advantage of the opportunities in Washington and learned about the legislative process and how we serve the people of our state,” Boozman said. 

Taylor Bell, Austin Grinder, Dallas Herndon, Katie Howe, Merrick Jacob, Morgan Keller, Jordan Messner, Staci Parrish, Kary Straw, Katie Waldrip, Lauren Waldrip, Mason White, and Jonathan Wolfe will spend the next five weeks helping answer phones, researching legislative issues and giving Arkansans tours of the U.S. Capitol. 

Taylor Bell is a 2008 graduate of Pulaski Academy in Little Rock.  He is a senior at the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina where he is pursuing a degree in Business Marketing with a minor in Political Science. 

Austin Grinder is a 2008 graduate of Cross Gate Christian Academy in Hot Springs.  He is a  senior at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas where he is pursuing a degree in Political Science. 

Dallas Herndon is a 2009 graduate of Eisenhower Senior High School in Lawton, Oklahoma. He is a junior at the University of Chicago where he is studying Public Policy and Philosophy.

Katie Howe is a 2008 graduate of Southside High School in Fort Smith.  She is a senior at the University of Arkansas where she is majoring in Advertising and Public Relations with a minor in Marketing.

Merrick Jacob is a 2010 graduate of West Bloomfield High School in West Bloomfield, Michigan. She is a sophomore at the University of Michigan where she studies Business and Near Eastern Studies. 

Morgan Keller is a 2008 graduate of Fayetteville High School.  She is a senior at Baylor University in Waco, Texas where she is studying International Studies and Religion. 

Jordan Messner is a 2009 graduate of Riverside Brookfield High School in Riverside, Illinois.  She is a junior at the University of Michigan where she pursuing a degree in Public Policy. 

Staci Parrish is a 2006 graduate of Southside High School in Fort Smith.  She is a senior at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith where she is pursuing a degree in Historical Interpretation and Political Science.

Kary Straw is a 2009 graduate of Shiloh Christian School in Springdale.  She is a junior at Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio where she is studying Political Science and Public Administration. 

Katie Waldrip is a 2008 graduate of Lee Academy in Marianna.  She is a senior at the University of Arkansas where she is studying Dietetics and Hospitality Management. 

Lauren Waldrip is a 2008 graduate of Lee Academy in Marianna.  She is a senior at the University of Arkansas where she is pursuing degrees in Marketing and Advertising/Public Relations with a minor in Accounting. 

Mason White is a 2008 graduate of Texas High School in Texarkana, Texas.  He is a senior at Texas A&M University where he is studying English and Political Science. 

Jonathan Wolfe is a 2009 graduate of Catholic High School in Little Rock.  He is a junior at the University of Dallas where he is pursuing a degree in politics.
