WASHINGTON – Hot Springs residents calling U.S. Senator John Boozman’s Washington, D.C. office may find a familiar voice at the other end of the line. Mary Catherine Hancock of Hot Springs joined Senator Boozman’s team as a staff assistant.

“Living and working in Washington has been a life-changing experience for me and I have learned an immeasurable amount since I started on Capitol Hill. Working for Senator Boozman has been incredibly rewarding in that I am able to connect with so many constituents from my home state and see the office make a real difference in the lives of Arkansans,” Hancock said.

“Mary Catherine is a great addition to our office. Her connection and familiarity with issues impacting Arkansas is important as we craft policies to improve the lives of citizens. I appreciate her enthusiasm, commitment and determination to provide the very best service and outreach to Arkansans,” Boozman said.

As a staff assistant, Hancock plays a vital role in providing the great constituent service for which Boozman is known. She is responsible for answering questions from Arkansans who call the senator’s Washington office about pending legislation and debates on the Senate floor. She also helps organize tours and process flag requests.

Prior to joining Boozman’s staff, Hancock interned for Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton and Oklahoma’s First Congressional District Congressman Kevin Hern.

Hancock is a 2017 graduate of Lakeside High School, and a 2021 graduate of Oklahoma State University in Stillwater with a bachelor’s degree in history. She is the daughter of Kendall and Haley Hancock.
