WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR), a member of the Congressional Coalition on Adoption, supported the Senate-passed resolution marking November as National Adoption Month and November 18 as National Adoption Day - to increase support for adoptive families and raise awareness about adoption.
“All children deserve a safe and loving home. I am grateful for the tremendous work in Arkansas to support children in need of a permanent home and proud to encourage families to consider opening their hearts to the blessings of adoption,” Boozman said.
The resolution was led by Senators Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Kevin Cramer (D-ND).
A companion resolution was introduced in the House by Representatives by Congressmen Robert Aderholt (R-AL) and Adam Smith (D-WA), the House co-chairs of the Congressional Coalition on Adoption.
