WASHINGTON –U.S. Senators John Boozman (R-AR), Sherrod Brown (D-OH), John Hoeven (R-ND) and Jon Tester (D-MT) will lead the Senate Air Force Caucus in the 114^th Congress.

The bipartisan group includes 35 members and focuses on issues impacting the U.S. Air Force. The caucus sponsors briefings, base visits and meetings with Air Force personnel throughout the year.

“More than 10,000 Arkansas men and women support our nation’s military air capability at the 189^th Air Wing at Little Rock Air Force Base and the 188^th Wing in Fort Smith. We need to ensure that these personnel, and all airmen and women, have the resources they need to accomplish their missions. I look forward to working with my colleagues to support our Air Force,” Boozman said.

“The men and women of the Air Force – active duty, Guard, and Reserve – are critical to our nation’s security and they deserve partners in Congress who support them,” Brown said. “I’m proud to advocate on behalf the Ohio men and women serving at Ohio’s six Air Force installations and on behalf of Air Force personnel around the country.” 

“North Dakota sees the value of the Air Force every day, whether it is through nuclear B-52s and ICBMs at Minot, Global Hawks at Grand Forks, the space radar at Cavalier or the Air National Guard’s cyber targeting mission in Fargo,” Hoeven said. “The Air Force Caucus is a great opportunity to share with my colleagues how proud North Dakota is to host so many Air Force missions and to advocate in the Senate on behalf of the best Air Force in the world.”  

“The Airmen who serve in Montana and around the world play a critical part in our national defense.  As they carry out their missions, we must provide them with the resources and equipment they need to do their jobs safely and effectively,” Tester said.  “I look forward to working with this caucus to build support for my efforts to modernize our nation’s ICBM fleet and ensure our C-130s continue to play a pivotal role in our nation’s security and state’s emergency response.”
