WASHINGTON – As Arkansans are forced to stretch their paychecks to put food on the table, heat their homes and fill up their vehicles, U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) is calling on the Biden administration to end its tax-and-spending agenda and focus on the priorities of the American public in order to control our nation’s skyrocketing inflation.

“We’ve got a fire that’s raging. It’s burning through Americans’ paychecks and budgets. Let’s stop pretending that pouring gas on it is the only option,” Boozman said.

Boozman, ranking member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, highlighted the consequences the Biden administration’s policies have had for rural America.

“His plans are squeezing the ag community as their operations require more capital,” Boozman said.

Farm production expenses are expected to set record highs this year with inflation driving up input costs for producers including a 31 percent hike in fertilizers and 35 percent increase in fuel and oil.

The senator called for cooperation from the White House to prioritize solutions to provide relief from record-high inflation.
