WASHINGTON - Today, thousands of Americans are raising their voices and demonstrating their support for the unborn in the annual March for Life on the National Mall. Like me, they believe in the dignity of every person and are standing in defense of the those who cannot defend themselves.
 
I was proud to join these voices in protecting the unborn and fighting to end abortion during the recent Arkansas March for Life just as I joined pro-life advocates on the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court last month when the court heard arguments in a case that could undo Roe v. Wade for good and send the question of abortion back where it belongs: to the states.

As the 49th annual March for Life unfolds in the nation’s capital, we pray this will be the last march petitioning for the protection of life. Because of the hard work of so many for nearly five decades, that day is now within reach.

Defending the most vulnerable among us is one of the most important things we can do. I’m proud to support legislation that protects the rights of the unborn and the conscience rights of taxpayers who don’t want their tax dollars paying for abortions. That’s one reason I’ve again earned an A+ on the Susan B. Anthony List Pro-Life Scorecard. I will continue to defend and support the right to life.
