WASHINGTON –U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) honors the selfless service and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans on Veterans Day.

“On Veterans Day, we honor and respect our veterans and their families for those the sacrifices that have secured our cherished freedoms,” Boozman said in a video message. “We take time to reflect on the sacrifices of ordinary men and women from all corners of our nation who have and continue to serve our country.”

As a member of the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee, Boozman is uniquely situated to help usher through legislation and implement policies that help our nation’s veterans. Improving health care and access, expanding educational opportunities, and providing opportunities for long-term meaningful employment for our nation’s veterans are priorities for the senator as Congress continues its promise to the men and women who wear our nation’s uniform.

“It’s important that we continue to improve the benefits our veterans receive. One way to do that is to provide advanced funding for key veterans’ programs, to ensure that all the services which our veterans have earned, and depend on, will continue should there be future funding lapses,” Boozman said.

Boozman honored veterans during several events throughout the weekend. Today he will speak at Paris Middle School's third annual Veterans Day Celebration.
