Arkansas's U.S. Senators John Boozman and Mark Pryor honored the lives of Scott County Sheriff Cody Carpenter and Wildlife Officer Joel Campora, two dedicated public servants, who gave their lives while responding to a 911 call at a home in the Y City area near the Fourche La Fave River during severe weather-caused flooding. 

The Internal Revenue Service admitted that it unfairly targeted conservative 
groups. Biased treatment based on political beliefs will not be tolerated. There are a lot of questions that need to be answered by top officials at the agency and there will be consequences for those who carried out these unjust actions. Senator Boozman delivered this speech on the Senate floor about this scandal and how the agency must be accountable.
The Senate Appropriations Committee held a hearing to examine the impact of sequestration, the across-the-board cuts that go into effect on March 1. Senator Boozman used the opportunity to ask about veterans' benefits, national security and transportation.
