Arkansas Senator John Boozman spoke on the Senate floor in opposition to a tax package that passed the Senate on Wednesday, July 25 that failed to preserve current tax rates for all Americans.  Boozman believes we should not be raising taxes on anyone in this weak economic climate.  He said the Senate Majority's decision to raise taxes along with refusing to offer a budget or hold votes on appropriations bills is pushing us closer to the "fiscal cliff."

Senator Boozman offered this amendment to the farm bill to encourage the Secretary of Agriculture to support agriculture and food law research through partnerships with colleges and universities that have an expertise in these areas. The amendment was approved by voice vote.

Senator Boozman thanks our military personnel, our veterans and their families for their selfless sacrifice.

'As we celebrate Memorial Day, we recognize the honor, commitment and bravery of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. We commemorate their service in ceremonies across the country and lay wreaths on the graves to honor the service and sacrifice of our fallen American servicemembers,' Boozman says in this Memorial Day message.

The Senate VA Committee held a hearing on the issue of Seamless Transition: Review of the Integrated Disability Evaluation System. Senator Boozman filled in for Ranking Member Richard Burr (R-NC) and delivered this opening statement.

As a member of the Senate Commerce Committee, Senator Boozman had the opporutnity to ask questions to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Commissioners. Senator Boozman is concerned about the access and the development of broadband in rural areas.
