WASHINGTON –U.S. Senator John Boozman was awarded the ‘Guardian of Small Business’ award from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the nation’s leading small business association. Boozman received this honor for his outstanding voting record on behalf of America’s small business owners in the 114th Congress.

“Many elected officials claim that they are champions of small business, but our Guardian Award shows our members and other small business owners who is really fighting for them,” said NFIB President and CEO Juanita Duggan. “Based on his voting record, Sen. Boozman is one of the most reliable advocates for small business in Washington.”

“As a former small business owner, I understand the challenges these job creators face. In order to provide  entrepreneurs with predictability to plan and grow their business, we need to foster an economic environment that encourages job growth, creation and development. I appreciate this recognition and will continue to be an advocate for policies that support small business and help the backbones of our economy grow,” Boozman said.

The Guardian of Small Business is NFIB’s most prestigious award.  It is reserved for members of Congress who vote consistently with NFIB on the key issues identified by small business owners at least 70 percent of the time.
